Shark shafts

Hi all, are the shafts on Mikes shark cues a lower grade than what he uses on his higher end cues?
Also are the butterfly splices still handmade or are they machined?

Mike has been out of stock of the standard shark range for ages mate so it looks like the deluxe shark is the only budget option. I actually spoke to mike about this when I ordered my MW legend and he said the shaft on a deluxe shark will actually be better aesthetically than the shafts used on the legends as he is not taking grain requests on his stock legend cues. No probs mate we all do it sometimes and don't read something that is in front of us (I do it a lot lol). The reason the response was so quick was due to the fact I'm on mikes website regularly waiting for my order status to change from pending to complete even though checking it a few times a day won't make it any quicker lol. I'm waiting on my MW legend so I can test the new blackspin ferrule and finally own 1 of mikes cues. I ordered it almost 6 weeks ago and as my birthday is august the 2nd I was hoping I would have my new cue by then as a birthday present from myself lol. 5 weeks and 5 days have passed and as my birthday is tomorrow it's obviously not gonna be ready in time. All good things come to those who wait though and once I've had a few frames I will be writing a review on the forum. Regards, Rob

Unless I am mistaken, the shark cues are machine butterfly splices.

The cues are then hand finished to Mikes level of craftmanship.
