No worries mate, I know exactly what your saying..... I'd love to get involved in some Sunday comp action but it's only real family time I get at the minute.

Yep he's still in the thick of it, maybe I'll see you down there in the future when things calm down for us.

On technique and cuing I found that when you drop in stroke you tend to go a bit wild and try and pot everything (which you cant and soon fall out of stroke)so when I thought I was cuing well I would reign it in a bit.another point on tips my preference is I hated new tips so when I bedded one in I would pop it off and put it in a little tin in my case, also ken the manager let me retip all the rack cues I would find the good played in ones and keep them.
yeah when i first cleared the lineup i felt it was a real achievement, i remember it more so than the first ton. after i was able to clock the lineup three times on the bounce i moved to doing the max then sequential maxes line, at the same time i was running a hundred blacks 'which i think is the best routine around the black. i then made it my goal to follow and complete this: http://fergalobrien.ie/practice.html with most of these ive done many times over. of course i was sparing, giving out big handy caps.
i like what you say about not pushing the boat out when your cueing nice. i too found if you take three of more liberties that don't workout in your favor things tend not to go your way for a few frames, and as you say if your not careful you can undo a good weeks practice in one sparring session.
iv pop off a hanging off tip or two from a rack of cues that someones made a half arsed attempt at retipping, always good to have a backup knocked in tip
