    Hi Curtis
was just wondering how the following ever happened:

Most users ever online was 403, January 31st, 2005 at 18:27 PM.
were those different users all online on the same day? That means, we still have a long way to go to break that stat, don't we?
Has yesterday been the highest so far in the new era then?

Moreover, I noticed, that Statman should now be replaced as the Top Poster

Its funny, because I was looking at that too!

I will look into this, because I am not sure those stats are on the mark or not...

That was a bit before I signed up but I was lurking back then, and I'm positive it never got to anything like 403 online. There were only 4 or 5 active members then and rarely all at once. I suspect it was an attack of search spiders after Snooker (old admin) changed the link format a bit, or some other anomaly.

This forum's never been as busy as it is at present, so thanks to all the BBC members and others who've made things much more lively.

(Sorry for dragging this old thread up btw, just noticed it)

Dont know how to implement it in VBulletin but on IPB you can search engine optimize a site by placing a google bot on the site and letting it crawl the topics.
If you want the site to get more hits that's the way to go for the moment at least until it gets more popular on its own.

I have researched the Most Online issue at vBulletin and apparently many forums report this number is far from accurate. The only way to resolve it is to delete the number out of the database - something I can do when I get some time.

ive cut out and stuck a bit of paper over where it says that.
ive written on the paper - "no info under here!"

i will take off the bit of paper when you get round to database changing.

keep up the work curtis. (this place is crawling with spiders btw)

Semih, you like your paper on the screen method, don't you?

Robert, Curtis, thanks for digging into the issue.

Can't you replace it by the highest 'Total members that have visited the forum today' or 'members currently online' figures? Just ignore me, if that is too much work...

Are you going to wipe that off then Curtis and start count again?

                      lol @ Sf and @ O

i reckon curtis should change it to:-

the number of sensible posts by semih

start at 0, and i doubt he will need to change it.
