nice to have TSF back... although stuff seems to have gone into hiding and you had warned us they would (pagers, pics, Stats) other stuff has reappeared from graves (too many PMs somehow, they were binned before...)

TSF back up (tentatively)

Still quite a bit of work to do, but I think I've got TSF back up to a level where it can be turned on.

I didn't think the brown would be to everyone's tastes - I've added a style chooser to the bottom of the screen where you can pick from the default vBulletin style or the new 'relax' (coffee) style. I'll also be having a go at converting the old skin to work with this new version later (no promises on this - may not be possible) and tweaking the current ones to be a bit more TSF-like (ie, having our logo somewhere).

User titles are back up to black. Can't say I've ever been keen on 'Elite member', sounds a bit exclusive/cliquey to me (or am I the only one?). I'm open to suggestions, 1000+ should be marked by something.

Much better this colour and agree 100% on the elite thing. we dont need status / cliques on here. There is enough of it in daily life!

I got a list of additions to the forum that were installed on the previous version and we will be going through them one by one and reinstalling.

But there are ones that will not be re-installed due to security issues but we will try to find alternatives.

Thanks for the time and patience Ferret and Robert.
The changes are a bit shocking, that's why we're nagging... And we're creatures of habit I guess so we're impatient to get the old features back.
I'll speak for myself, when I first joined TSF I didn't find the layout inviting at all, but now it's different I have the feeling I'm on another board.

Will you please explain the new additions so we can get used to them? For example, the "* times thanked" thing? How do we thank someone? And is that like the old rep feature?

AFAIK its an add on hack that you press a button (not here yet?) to say thanks for a post. the thank yous from users can be viewed in a box "on" the post. helps to keep a thread streamlined while saying showing appreciation for info contained in particular posts....sure it will be explained fully if its operational
