Do people think that members who dont contribute to the forums should be deleted?

There's an arguement for membership housekeeping, but our forum members would have initially had a reason for registering and could still have some latent enthusiasm that would only need an encouraging email to come back into the fold and post again. If they've visited without posting this would, I assume, be classed as 'activity' and therefore they'd not be classed as a lapsed membership?

Maybe a reminder email with a deadliine after which their login would be suspended if they've not come back and at least viewed the site within another deadline might be prudent. If I lapsed but could regenerate (Dr.Who!!) the avatar, signature and other Control Panel info it would be helpful to know it wouldn't take a lot of effort to resume membership again.

Having said that (Henman!) the number of members is a matter of pride, and to prune away the 'zero posters' would reduce our numbers quite a bit. Though to make contact again would be an opportunity to tell them about how things have changed and improved.

It was never a yes or no though was it Dave.

you've got to be decisive, and i reckon, if they go more than 3 months without posting, delete them.
