Partially a Support issue, but is there a way to grant certain Members more space on the server for attachments they post?
I know that it says somewhere that this site is not an extension of your hard drive, but I only ever put files up that are appropriate, useful and I don't delete off my computer what I post on this site (One member in particular was extremely happy after I made all my Snooker Footage URL's available for instance, and they've been viewed more than 10 times since)
I could imagine that a tiered storage allowance could work where a newbie only has 250k and as their (constructive) post count grows, so does their online capacity; this would not need an upgrade of your available space, just targeting the capacity to those that need more. The majority of members don't use a lot of bandwidth so their quota could possibly be donated elsewhere.
Cheers.
(I'm up to 839.2k of I assume 1meg, I could I suppose delete them all and start again, but that might degrade the excellent service and enjoyment to our members and guests).
