Thinsy has a ban for a month but he decided to sigh up for a sockpuppet account which is against the forum rules and an extra month has been added to his ban for this.

Noel also got banned for a month and in protest resigned form the forum.

Willy signed up for a sockpuppet account and got a month ban as this is against the forum rules.

All non permanent bans are now automatic and handled by the forum software, so if you sign up for another account the forum will automatically ban you for 1 month, this also goes for other rules when broken which the forum software can automate.

        banned - sockpuppet

Hi, I am relatively new on this forum and have already gained a lot of useful information and many chuckles along the way.
Then today I notice a "banned" commented under a users name, and started to wonder. Obviously someone else had noticed this and asked in the thread "banned".
This was answered and then locked.
        Two questions:
        1. Why lock the thread? Worried about a riot against the system?
        2. What is sockpuppet? Why subscribing to it incurs a month ban?

As a newbie I would like some answers so, for one, I don't inadvertently subscribe to something that can cause me to be banned and incur the wrath of the administrator(s), and also what about my personal freedom being curtailed here?
        All the best

When you signed up for the forum you agreed to abide by the forum rules, all is explained in there.

Wild you would not of done because the posts were deleted.
