  • Got to hit the Back button twice

hi guys, not sure if you are experiencing the same issue as me...

i need to hit my IE 8 web browser's back button twice in order to go back a page when surfing TSF these 2 days... this problem doesn't crop up when i surf other websites.

Yep, Ive also got the same problem. Another thing is it takes me more than one attempt to log out on many occasions.

I can not reproduce this error and I have checked with Firefox, Google Chrome, IE 7 & 8, Opera and Safari on both Mac and PC

I would suggest upgrading your browser to the latest version, this can not be a error with the TSF software as it has not been adjusted or upgraded in the last 21 days.

As for the log out problem, clear all of your cookies associated with TheSnookerForum.com & .co.uk, restart your browser and that should resolve the log out problem.

I have the same problem. Thought it was my imagination. Also have a strange error message telling me a webpage (relating to some of the advertising) cannot be displayed. This occured a while back I seem to remember reporting it at the time.

Just noticed that the first click off the back arrow gets rid of the strange error message and the second click takes you to where you want to be.

yep, exactly the same here ... the "webpage cannot be displayed" is under the power snooker and q school ads and above the forum stuff ... is there supposed to be an ad there which isn't displaying on some PCs/browsers?

Thanks for checking and prompt response, Ferret, but neither have I adjusted nor upgraded my IE 8 browser recently and this is happening regardless whether I'm using my laptop or the PCs at home or work.

I too noticed that an advertisement below the Q School ad failed to display (error msg : "Page cannot be found"). I suspect that it's this advertisement that could be causing this back button issue.

Nevertheless, I'll take your advice and try to fiddle with my internet browser to see if it works.

OK I will have a look at the file which produces the adverts.

Let me know if this error stops

That's done it for me Ferret , only one click now and can't see the advert that was coming up as an error .
                            Thanks very much .
