Add to that, that this forum is FREE so what we get is provided at no cost to us.

You can pay (upgrade if you like) you get more privelages like larger storage space (larger avatar, more pic space etc...


I always wonder if many/any pay for this?...

I't may be free but I'm sure that it brings in some money to ferret how much I wouldn't like to guess. Money can only be genrerated thanks to the thousands that login day after day. Ferret is awear of the problem and has choosen to ignor it. I don't buy in to that he's away on a beach somewhere, But if he is goodluck to him, still doesn't change the fact that many members are not getting updates.

You're probably right, Ferret probably makes some money on the site. He also works very hard on it, so he deserves whatever he gets IMO.

If you're sure Ferret is aware of the problem, then job done, no need to post any more comments/complaints on the subject, just sit back and wait for him to fix it.

I prefer to believe that he is either unaware of the problem, or doing his best to fix it as soon as he can. In either case more posts/complaints are not going to make any difference to how fast it gets fixed.

The only reason to continue posting and complaining, would be if you (or anyone really, not you specifically) believed Ferret to be aware of the problem and intentionally doing nothing about it. I have seen no reason to think this, and only someone who had a fairly low opinion of his fellow man would jump to this conclusion, IMHO.

So, I suggest we all assume Ferret is either unaware of the problem, or so busy fixing it he doesn't have time to comment. AFAIK, he has never done or said anything to make us think otherwise.

Lastly ... for all we know there has been a death in his family and he is unable to face work or anything of the sort. How bad would you feel to have been complaining all this time if that was the case?

I don't see the fuss with the update though guy's, it's not as if your not here enough to see whats going on like is it...lol.

I personally dont subscribe to any threads not even the ones i post, it;s a pain (especially if the thread is busy) and just fills my mail so turned that off straight away.

I do agree with fezza being a bit lax at times with things though, similar sorta thing with the chat bar, he just won't come on and answer ppl's queries, unless you swear or slate someone, then he's on it straight away with the bans etc...lol...
