  • Deleting Old Photos in Album

I couldn't find any info on this but I would like to delete all my old photos that are in my albums on here.

Does anyone know how to do this please. (As a computer dinosaur I would need step-by-step instructions)

    Thanks ahead of time,

    Hi Terry,
    1) at top right of screen click on "settings"
    2) at left hand side of new screen that opened up, at the bottom of list of things under Miscellaneous, click on "Attachments"
    3) if you want to delete every picture, click on the top box at right hand side, then scroll down and click on "delete selected". If you only want to delete certain one's click on each individual box as required
    4) job done !!!

Not the attachments I meant. If you go to ' go advanced' below and then click on 'Manage Attachments' I have 42 photos in my attachment or album file and nowhere does it tell me how to delete some of these as there are few which are almost 3 years old and of cues I don't have anymore.

It also says I have 5Mb of space and have used only 418kb but why waste space.

I asked Ferret and he wasn't sure how to delete these old photos...has anyone ever figured it out? I've gone to my uploaded photos and attached the wrist cock example but how do I delete old photos from that file?

Well that way i described works for me.
Try going your album, then click on "edit pictures", you can then delete them there, then scroll down and "save changes"

OK, I'll try it again...Nope...that only deletes photo attachments on my posts. It does not delete them from the album.

How do I get to the album as the only way I know is to use the 'Manage Attachments' tab in the 'Go Advanced' option.

I told you I was a computer dinosaur

(for instance, I had attached a photo to this message and then went to settings and deleted attachments and now it's gone)

I guess the more accurate question is...'how do I delete previously uploaded photos?'. or even...how do I delete photos from the File Upload Manager which tells me I've uploaded a total of 42 photos but doesn't have any way to delete them. I did delete all my attachments and now it tells me I'm using 0Kb or and allowed 5Mb but the 42 photos must be stored somewhere and they are now useless.

When I go to 'albums' it says I don't have any.

It was the wrong question I guess. I have 42 old photos in my File Upload Manager which I would like to delete out of there as they are of no use now. No one seems to know how to do that.

My albums are empty or more correctly I have no albums and no photos attached to any of my posts at all.

What is "File Upload Manager". Is this a 3rd party application on your PC or another site?

If you have no albums or photos then this won't work, but just in case..

                  1) Click top right "My Profile".
                  2) On the left look for the section entitled "Albums"
                  3) Click on the name of each listed album you want to modify
                  4) Either, click "Edit Album" and delete the entire album or..
                  5) Click "Edit Pictures", select the pictures to delete and click "Save changes"

"File upload manager" is the page you get to when trying to upload pics to your album, see link to mine, probably won't work tho, try it on your own album

Do you have all the photos you ever uploaded still sitting in your File Upload Manager? All 42 of mine are there just sitting.

How do I clear out the File Upload Manager? I tried putting them all into an album and then deleting that album, but the photos still stayed in the FUManager.

Terry sorry I have not got back to you sooner as I can not figure it our either!

AS I said before all I do when I need more space is increase the Admin's upload allowance, if you are running out of space I can increase yours if you wish?

I am sure the answer is in the FAQ - http://www.thesnookerforum.com/board/faq.php but I just had a quick scan and can not see anything.

I was more worried regarding your storage space. I have about 4Mb of photos in the File Upload Manager and it's every photo I ever uploaded (42 in all). So if File Upload is saving everyone's photos forever then there must be a lot of Gb stored there. Would that be on the hard drive in your servers? I'm not enough of a computer expert to know for sure but surely all those photos have to be stored somewhere and surely any photos over about 6 months or so are no longer used by that specific member.

Another subject...I didn't get an email notification of your post and just noticed it this morning. I've noted missing email notifications at other times although it's very sporadic.

Its ok I got plenty of free space at the moment, I think the total image storage at the moment is about 35GB.

Because TSF sends out so many emails a few do go astray every now and then, I think we are sending between 200 & 700 an hour.
