  • Site a bit wonky?

Anyone else having issues posting threads and replying? Sometimes when i click reply it'll throw up a solid grey box i can't type in, other times ill type out a reply then try to post it and it'll tell me to log in (even though i already am).

Same thing with viewing picture attachments, it'll say i need to log in, i refresh, im still logged in then it'll let me view them.

I have not seen any of these problems and can see nothing obvious in the error logs !

You could try logging out, clearing cookies from thesnookerforum.com and .co.uk then log back in and remember to click the Remember me box.

If any of you can take a screenshot next time this happens and post it up I can look into it further.

Yes I have had these problems (but not being logged out), plus another problem.

Quite often, I'll type my comment in the box and click "Post Quick Reply", whereupon it will bring up the box saying "You have unsaved changes which will be lost. [Leave this page] [Stay on this page]."

If I click Stay on this page, and click post again, I get a duplicate post. I have got into the habit of opening up a duplicate of the page to see that my post has been accepted, before leaving the page in the other window.

I just tried to reply to this post and got the grey/blue box. I've been getting this with almost every reply I've tried, but if I hit 'Go Advanced' it allows me to post but it will not allow me to edit my own post.

I also get the 30 second warning when it does give my the normal reply option even though it could be my first posting of the day.

OK looks to be a javascript problem which will effect people on mobile devices more than people on computers, if you are on iPad then use Google Chrome rather than Safari.

There is a update I can do which should solve this so will get to that once I have some free time.

@Terry I have had the .com back under my control for some time, was only out of action for 7 days in total hence when you goto a thread on the .com it directs you to the identical thread on the .co.uk to move the site back to the .com is going to take me some time which I have not got at the moment hence we are still on the .co.uk, yes the move back would solve all of the problems people are having with the mobile apps but also moving back will effect our rankings on Google which is something I do not want to do.

I have been speaking to SEO experts about this and although one domain move is fine with Google (I did inform them when we moved) a second could be detrimental so for now I think we will just stay on the .co.uk, I think most people have updated their bookmarks as I am only seeing a small percentage of direct traffic on the .com most of which are from incoming link from old social media links and links people have put on websites for us.

The German Language things is only effecting a few of the buttons on the site and again this is on my list of things to do.
