Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh!

I am always hugely reticent to complain about forums - as I know they're operated/moderated by volunteers - so please don't take this as a complaint - it's more an "impassioned plea"!

Made first post - didn't appear.

Made a few more posts - all of which appeared immediately.

Very odd.

However - I read some support posts and understand that after 10 posts it'll all be fine.

Couple of days later, first post appears.

All is fine.

Or so I thought...

Posts have now stopped appearing again and I still can't view my own, or anyone else's profile. I still can't upload a photo.

Is it me? Am I doing something wrong?

Actually - have just realised that THIS probably won't appear!!

If it does - HELP!

If it doesn't - I'll probably have given up.

I know it's bad form to reply to your own posts - but I thought it worthwhile in this case, to say that the above has appeared immediately.

So if someone can please help and tell me:

a) Where my missing posts have gone.

b) What I've done to make them not appear.

I would be extraordinarily grateful.

You have to reach 10 pots before being able to view profiles etc, as for posts not appearing it's probably to do with you being new, just be patient

That's the problem though - I passed 10 posts days ago and still I can't view profiles etc, and still my posts aren't appearing!

In the top corner of the post it tells you how many you have done so far, according to this it's only 7.

However, if I go into "view forum posts" it says this:



17 in total - 2 missing - it even knows they're missing! That's almost the most frustrating part!!

Posts don't count in certain parts of the forums bud, not sure which parts but that's what it is....

Dont think they count in new members forum and some other parts i'm not certain of...

You are right Cally. Posts in Newbie and Support Helpdesk (possibly others) don't count towards the count

However - that explains my lack of ability to see profiles, etc.

Now to understand why randoms posts don't appear.......!!

A couple of posts I made a week ago haven't appeared.

Can someone tell me if I'm waiting for something that's just not going to happen? Will they ever appear?

Should I just give up and retype them?

Your posts won't appear in 'new posts' on your screen unless someone replies, could it be that?

No - it's not that. They've just disappeared!!

One was a question I asked about lighting in "Tables"

One was a post I made on the "Highest Breaks" thread in the Lounge.

There was another one a couple of days ago - can't honestly remember WHAT that one was about!
