Grrrr... really annoying!

I can only apologise, there's nothing I can do to fix it and we've just got to wait for the admin to get to it.

One thing I can do is rename threads. If you create a with a long title and want it shortening to make it accessible just page me. I've been doing this anyway with a few threads as I've noticed them (although I'm reluctant to meddle with any of The Statman's).

Also, from the 'my panel' (where you get a list of threads that you've contributed to that have new replies), every link results in the invalid link error.

Thanks for bringing this up SF, I noticed sth new yesterday: I had two Private Messages yesterday, but got mail notification of neither, even though I have not changed my settings and I always used to get one...

Still trying to get some sign of life out of the new owners. If they don't show up soon I'll try to get Curtis to pop back to sort things out, but I'm reluctant because I know he's busy, and I'm also not sure whether he has access to code any more.

I know you said you haven't changed any settings, but maybe they've been changed by someone else behind the scenes, have you checked whether "Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages" (under Edit options->Messaging & Notification) is still ticked?

I checked, yesterday but also today, the option is still ticked!
I didn't like the idea of someone messing with my options btw...

I've said it before, it works fine for me, I am using Opera for the time being.

Thanks Nina. I'm sure no one would meddle with your personal settings deliberately, but it was conceivable that they might have been changed accidentally as an admin attempted to change defaults. It appears it's not that though. Do you know if the problem might have started at the same time these other issues cropped up (April 2nd)?

I understand about the defaults Robert, thanks for explaining. Nothing seems to have been changed however.

I cannot be certain as I don't often get PMs, but I think the beginning of that problem does coincide with the other issues.
I don't find it to be as big a problem as the others, I am curious though if I am the only member here experiencing such problem.
