Since yesterday's site-offline time I dont think I have received any email notifications.
Coincidence or subsequence off?

I just swapped the setting so see if you get notifications now.

Let me know if you get any problem with the notifications in the future as I am running all the forum emails through Google Apps for Business at the moment and I do know they have a daily limit on the number of emails per day I can send even though I pay through the roof for this service.

Scroll down till you see Default Thread Subscription Mode: and select a new option for thread subscriptions like Do Not Subscribe then you will not receive any emails.
