Edit function doesn't seem to work nowadays, all you get is a blank box

I sometimes get the blank screen when I try to edit but it is not consistantly since, if I go to chrome edit works, then if I log back in to IE it works again.
Phone app seems to always work.

Yeah it's not every time, on phone at moment as my son has commandeered the laptop

on my phone as my daughter has commandeered my pc

the blank screen for edit happens so often that I don't worry about it anymore and a workaround that often works is when it happens I leave that thread go anothe thread and go into any other posting. going back to the post I wish to edit and try again and most of the time edit works

I have looked into this but not found what the problem is as it is also not constant, I am using Chrome and it happens about 40% of the time when I want to edit the first post but happens less if the post is a reply.

Getting this all the time since this afternoon.

I'm on Firefox.

I have found that logging out, closing the browser and clearing cache history can make the function work again. a pain though

Also I think the platform has a timing issue with how soon you can do an edit after the original posting
