Forum running very slow!

My pc seems to run at a good speed on all sites except this one recently. It is so slow and when i come on the here and its taken me 20 seconds for a page to load..i am finding it increasingly frustrating.It will occasionally speed up, but for the most part, it's as if I'm back on dial up!


Is anyone else having problems with access to threads and images?

Oh, I thought it was just me having trouble today...
I couldn't connect on more than one occasions, and when I finally managed to get to the F and log in, it runs terribly slow and I've had the unexpected log outs more today than all the previous year!

Same here. And it makes no difference if I use Safari or FireFox.

I tried Firefox as well as IE too, no difference, still slow. It took a whole lot of patience today!

So some general technical problem it seems, I tried 3 browsers, always the same result.

I have just run a few tests on the server and everything seems to be fine at the moment, I do know we had to re-boot the server yesterday due to problems.

As this site and snookerTalk are not hosted on my own servers I do not have as much access as I do on my websites so all I can do for mow is speculate on what has been happening and I think we may have suffered a D-Dos attack from some friendly hackers

I will try to find out what is going on, also this site is hosted on a US server so UK and European connection would be on aberage a half a secpnd to 3 seconds slower than if it was hosted in the UK

Problems continue. I got kicked out as i wanted to post a reply here. Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage etc

I have been looking into this and it seems there is a problem with mySQL on the server, I hope to have this resolved very soon but it may take until Monday before everything is back to mormal.
