I recently noticed a few problems with recieving mail form the froum to my Yahoo.co.uk email address.

I thought it may have been that the TSF server has been put onto a spam database as we are on a shared server in the USA so I routed all of the emails the forum sends out through my supa fast server in the UK and guess what?

Yep still problems, currently got 200 mails in the que, I have contacted Yahoo about this and their techys are working on a resolve, they have already put our domain(s)! onto their white list, but if you do use Yahoo and have another email address you can use please change it on your profile (This will require a new activation email)

Aha! It's been bugging me for quite a while that notifications went to the spam folder but I thought it was just my stupid mail... and then I got used to checking the spam for PM notifications!
Just edit e-mail in the profile then ferret?

If you select a few of the mails from TSF that are in your spam folder and click the Not Spam button that will help us to get our mails back into peoples inboxes

The problem is that people sign up for instant notifications but when they have replied to say 20 threads they do get alot of mails, so to keep their inbox free they mark them as spam after 20 or 30 people have done this Yahoo then automaticaly put all mails from TSf into everybodys spam folder.

If you do not want to recieve notification just adjust your options in you control panel on the forum by using the green My Panel button at the top of the forum.

Oh I mark them as Not spam and move them every time in the hope things will change, haven't yet though!
Do you think the problem might be sorted out soon? I'd rather not make the change now, after all this time...

Not heard back from Yahoo since yesterday but they are working on it.

One problem they have mention is that the forum is on a shared server with over 100 other sites on it so I may have to move the forum to my server in the UK to fully resolve the problem.

Although I do have other sites on my server they are all private as I have two servers, one for my hosting customers and one for my website design customers.

If I do have to move server I will do it during the week and at like 3am so only a few people will be effected by the move, but it should only take a few hours to complete.

Nina, I think you can use the 'Filter' option to make sure that mail from TSF reaches your inbox instead of spam

Thanks for the idea SF! I've tried that, now I'll wait and see what happens. If it comes down to it, I'll edit the email.
