A million years is a long time. How can you be certain there won't be a Chinese World champion in 2083? Fair enough if you think none of the current Chinese professionals will win the WC, but never?

It's the same thing when people say Hendry's 7 WC wins will never be broken? Never? How can you say that? Why couldn't someone win 8 WCs between 2052 and 2065?

Wenbo will prove me right with a loss against Gilbert in front of his own crowd. That's a player who will never pass through the quarter final stage of the ranking tournaments.

I don't think Wenbo will win the worlds!!! He doesn't have the all round game, and he doesn't do too well under pressure! Ding on the other hand is a winner, but of late confidence is missing from his game, but it will return and he will be a top 4 player.

Ding when he is on fire is practically unbeatable, nearly on par with Ronnie or Hendry when he was in his prime.

Matoski my friend... your "feelings" may be correct.

According to "Time's Special Witness", 7th century Mayan prophet Pacal Votan the last snooker game
              will be played on Dec. 21st, 2012 [ my birthday ]. *

This quote from arguably Liang's harshest critic needs be brought up again. I wonder what your opinion of Liang is now, after the Shanghai Masters. Do you consider it a fluke, do you see a future for him after all, or somewhere in between?

And ironically, despite predicting Liang to lose against Gilbert and Ebdon, you've actually won the 1st round predictions according to my provisional calculations.

                      Champioship snooker world in china

Hu Snooker fans aound the World For me that would be a big mistake to move the World Snooker Champs to China it should stay as it is jjst like Tennis the Us Open etc etc Wilmbeldon
                      .

The trouble with the Professional snooker organization they do not do enough to get sponcers Take a look at Golf they play weekly tournaments and the winner gets a million dollars. The Pro Snooker Players are playing for peanuts.

What they can do is to approach Big Companies in China and to get good sponcers and it could be held in China and be called the World China Open snooker championships and all the qualifacations would be held in England and the playes that are seeded in the last 32 would play the players that are qualified

The Championships should stay at Crucible. No reason to move it.

As far as Chinese player for World Champion is concerned...I think it's possible. Time will tell.

I have a feeling that next non UK champion in not so distant future could be a certain player from Belgium...
Who was the last non UK champ anyway? Cliff Thorburn?

Ken Doherty. I think Neil Robertson will be the next.
