I found this link to a break of 15 from Thorbjørn Blomdahl. ´When they play with frames, this is the equivalent of a 147. As the average score of the best players like Blomdahl is typical 1.5 or something like that, it´s not done very often. I´ve seen all the top players at world championships and european championships but I don´t think I´ve ever seen a break higher than 9 live.

This match is with running scores though, so it will probably be best of 40 or 60.

And Blomdahl is regarded as one of the two best players ever, if not the best.

Indeed. It's him and Ceulemans that stand well above the rest.

Maybe someone knows if there is live streaming of this event?
          Thanx!

wow that is IMPRESSIVE! I've only seen "artistic" 3 cushion carom before which I didn't enjoy but that was amazing

Saw a bit of this and thought it was amazing stuff

I thought Clive explained it well for the newcomer

Caudron just made a 15 break, earning 800 euros. Great stuff!

Blomdahl played some good stuff, 2.2 average, a 10 and a 9 run if I remember correcty, aganist a Sayginer who was well below his best, averaging only 0.9, so Torbjörn won easily.

yep I watched Blomdahl vs Sayginer too ... terribly impressive ...

some shots I can call and some I can't ... obviously it's a very fast cloth but are they super-crystallite balls? rather than phenolic resin ... just wondering

I'm not sure what "super-crystallite" is, but they are made from some sort of phenolic material... btw, would you believe that a set of three pro carom balls cost over $100?

I saw that game up to each in the high 30's - who won? I personally wouldn't like to call it ... both played some lovely stuff - I remember one of Forthomme's shots - his cue-ball had nearly stopped but then it hit a cushion and the amazing amount of LHS he had on the ball took effect ...

I'm watching on the agipi link you provided (thanks) with no commentary ... I'm struggling to understand why sometimes the ref calls something like "reprise" or something like that and sometimes not ...

I'd be might obliged if you could explain so I could enjoy the final even more!
