  • Sethi makes 300unf in Plymouth exhibition

I posted this on the Billiards Junkies forum, I'm surprised it wasn't talked about from other members over there:

    -----

Geet Sethi appeared at an exhibition on April 1st at the Victoria Club, Plymouth. Sethi amazed knowledgable players in a superb display. He made two big breaks of 267 and 300 unfinished through postman's knock within his top-of-the-table skills and also beat two local snooker players in the process. The audience was of around 20 - 30 people, a small but experienced and knowledable audience which appreciated the skill from the champion. He'd only been playing on the table for a short amount of time on a table that wasn't as fast as he's used to, and he quickly started to play like he'd practiced all day on it. Geet then displayed a trick shot, playing a ball out of a volunteer's mouth, a shot well known by Dennis Taylor playing the shot. People could meet Geet, have photos and autographs which ended an enjoyable night for all. The exhibition was organised by the West of England Billiards and Snooker Foundation and Victoria Snooker Centre, Plymouth, he will be also be appearing in an exhibition in Redruth, Cornwall also organised by the WEBSF. More information on the WEBSF and information on an exhibition featuring snooker star Jamie Cope on May 24th at Victoria Club, Plymouth can be found at http://www.websf.co.uk/.
