I saw a bit of this when I was at my parents' house. (Being too sensible myself to pay £50/month for 900 channels of dross.) What surprised me most was how mediocre the players seem to be. I play snooker to a level where a 30 break leads to drinks all round; but I felt I was watching players of a similar skill level to me. The shots they were refusing shocked me. I can't believe that more pro snooker players haven't jumped ship permanently.
