Oh, back on topic with 9-Ball.
They are on Facebook at the moment with lots of updates on this movie and Tony Palma posts on it a bit:

coming from hong kong, i can tellyou that the king of snooker is a failure.
it was a tv show trying to capture the hype of snooker after the china open 2009, since it aired right after the event.

i watched the first few episodes.... and man it was a disappointment
i saw some dude a long time ago on facebook criticizing this series.

Thats a shame, but to be honest I don't mind.
I just want all movies ever made about Pool and Snooker for my collection, to be honest some of the ones I've got already are pretty bad
