Hann is arguably a better pool player thatn snooker.

He came into snooker's elitle with an already established pool pedegree and is now showingf what he can do when the big money is to be had through winning as opposed to losing.

I must say thumbs up to ronnie's mentality, hes said on multiple occasions that he enjoys playing very much, and it certainly shows! He knows and admits to his weaknesses, mostly his break, and seems very keen to learn, ive seen him standing "ringside" at quite a few matches, he could really riser to the top of the pool world i feel.

from the IPT site about Ronnie making it through to the next round

"Snooker star Ronnie O’Sullivan, who has been generating huge interest in the international scene, barely squeaked by into the next round. He lost his hill-hill match against Mika Immonen, and though he tied with two other people in his group, he advanced because of his higher games-won percentage."

The main thing is he got through. I belive Ronnie thought he would be unkown over there but he seems to have been wrong about that, judging from the above. I guess word must have spread amongst the pool world as to who he is, so they will all be careful playing against him.

snooker may not be "too" popular in america, but im sure that the top cueist in their profession, be it from USA, or from other places, know ronnie and jimmy

They have both played in the Mosconi cup I think, Ronnie beat Earl Strickland in 1997 and a couple of other players.

Hann was superb in the second round, winning all 5 matches. I dunno why, but I hope he does really well. Despite his snooker table antics I've always had a weak spot for him.

But the group he's in must be the group of death. 2 top level pool players, 2 top level snooker players and another guy I don't know.

The Dutch players are all doing well, all four are into the third round also.

Allison Fisher, my all time favourite female snooker player, who won all 4 first round matches, lost all 5 second matches and is now out. What a shame. She's such a charming lady.

Immonen is really good. He plays in New York. Ronnie did well to get through from that group.

Hann just beat Ronnie 8-4 and Deuel beat Boyes 8-5, leaving Hann #1 in the group at this moment, probably until Bustamante plays. I predict he'll win the group, Deuel will be second and Hann third.

elvaago, do you think Ronnie will win a match at this round taking into account he has very tough opponents? I guess he's done more than anyone expected from him, time to come and prepare for NIT

Ronnie may beat that Boyes guy, but that's it. There's no way Bustamante or Deuel will lose to Ronnie. Bustamante is like, bigger in pool than Hendry was in snooker. And he's not even the best!

                              Hey, we can dream.

Did Alison Fisher get knocked out? She was going really well for a couple of rounds.
