apparently, Wu Chia-Ching has become a Singapore permanent resident... i was surprised to see him at one of our pool hall some time back... now i know better after coming across this news article...

also, it seems that he was unable to participate in the recent pool events sanctioned by the WPA (e.g. world 9-ball, 10-ball etc) due to his Taiwanese WPA membership being revoked and since he has yet to become a full fledged Singapore citizen, can't represent Singapore to play in the events... which explains him out of the radar, so to speak... anyone can confirm?

if hes avoiding the taiwanese conscription, wouldnt singapore do the same to him?

not sure if he's trying to avoid conscription though... perhaps it was because he felt he can have better career prospects here than over in Taiwan where they have loads of talented pool players and he'll probably be just a face in the crowd.

just snowed in here so cheaked on google and it says he has rejected or has been rejected by singapore as he did not turn up for the relevent interviews to approved his passport , he still is not in any world rankings but matbe all this citizen issue is over he can get back to playing
