I used to play with a guy who played on the welsh national team and he used to practice breaking for hours. He said he once managed to pot all 7 yellows and 3 reds off the break........ But never manged to work out how he did it !!!!
That's my problem as well - I can't work out my break well enough to consistently get 5 down ... sometimes I can't even get 1 down! If you want to play at the highest level, you need a consistently good break where you pot balls about 7/10 times. Unfortunately, that's not my case... however, if you break and don't make a ball, that's where I'm at my best! :snooker:
Il n'y a pas de problemes; il n'y a que des solutions qu'on n'a pas encore trouvées.

I have to agree, i tend to do better in a tactical game. I'm not sure that potting lots of balls off the break is a good thing,i think its better to pot 1 say yellow and have the reds on the cush tied up.

No. I think you will find american 9 ball pool balls are 2 1/4" and english 8 ball
pool balls are 2" with a 1 7/8" cue ball.

I potted all the colours off of a break once. I then potted the black, but lost the frame because it was World Rules and I hadn't nominated a colour.

Nah, lol joke, I've potted 4 or 5 once or twice before.
