I was having a debate with a friend the other day about when you leave your opponent with all there remaining colours on the table. Is it classed as 7 balled or 8 balled? Can somebody please clear this up?

Google seems to think it's 7-balled. 8-balled means something rather different and rather more general in most places by the looks of it.
