A break and dish is all 7 colours and black from your break
A dish is all 7 and black from your opponents break.
I've never heard of any 7 ballers or anything like that,
a normal 8 ball finish can happen during a game as the name
suggests is all 7 plus black, ie 8 balls
but where I play it's only a dish from the break either way
there's no added bonus for a dish or 8 ball finish,
other than you can't lose if the other lad doesn't get a go
In some one frame tournaments I've played in , if a opponent
dishes, you get the opportunity to do the same if you don't
dish you lose the frame, if you do you play another until
    somebody wins

I think I use dish just for any clearance of a few balls and black hmmmmm
"He missed his last red, than I dished"
I think I might say that if it was 5 or six balls as well as 7 and black.

8 ball definitions vary between leagues. It only matters if there is a prize for most in a season. Then it's worth knowing the definition for your league.

I've played in leagues where it is on only your first visit you can 8 ball (for both players even if you don't break)
The main league I play in it is also an 8 ball if you break don't pot, then dish on your second vist.

Never known a league to only allow the breaker to have an 8 ball.

When I first started playing,30 yrs ago,8 ball was declared if all the balls were on the table when the break commenced i.e. all 15 plus white, regardless of foul ( in off break etc).Later this was changed to 7 + black, first visit (opponent could pot,but if it was your first visit and you cleared, then 8 ball declared). Now,as I understand it,first visit only.Hope this helps.

When you Break and Pot all 7 Colours and Black thats a Dish.

If your Opponent Breaks and Doesn't Pot a Ball and you Clear all 7 Colours and Black thats a 7 Baller.

They Also call a 7 Baller if your Opponent doesn't Pot a Colour/Ball in the Frame.....And you Clear Up all 7 Colours then the Black.

          Hope this Helps Gaz.
This is how i understand it too.
