Do you break with an 8mm tip?

I always usually break with my playing cue which has an 8mm tip I rarely use a pub cue and when I do I don't seem to get a much better break. Break with whatever you feel comfortable with and whatever you break best with. Playing cue works for me :snooker:
O yeah and it never damages my tip

If u r just goin to smack the crap out of it then use a diff cue of get a mw super tip (it's a much harder tip so won't flatten much if at all)
