WoW, that must be some team, well done.
    People say I disagree a lot, but I don't think I do.

It is a collection of players, for a 9 man team event. What makes this special is that Rob Warne,Gaz Potts,Adam Davis and Jimmy Croxton were all away on tour,so Tony (team manager) had to enlist some "pub players" to make the squad up.Then again when you have "pub players" of that calibre to call on,then its not so bad.It looks good for the future as the title was decided in a contest of Trent Trophies "A" vs Trent Trophies "B" so the other Staffs Superleague teams (as well as at the Nationals) had better watch out.

slightly disingenuous, they dont have pub players in players. dont a large percentage of staffs superteam of region 3 all frequent there ?

As far as I know Dan Rush did not play and the team is drawn from venues all over the Trent Trophies league, not just from Players Pool Club.As far as I am aware Players (obviously),Green Baize,The Locomotive and the Red Lion were all represented (apologies to anyone I missed) that is two clubs and two pubs, although I am not 100% certain.I think Danny Sparkes and Danny Jones are Red Lion players ( the same team Tony Latham plays for) and they were certainly "rookies" to the squad, having been brought in because certain players were away on tour,so yes "pub players" they are.Incidentally Carl Hough was 8 balled twice and even Lee Kendall lost that night.Danny Sparkes (rookie) actually held his nerve to beat Mark Buckley to claim the title, fair play to him.Further write up can be found on the Trent Trophies website,I hope this clears things up for you.
