ADR, if you have anything else that fits the same requirement could you let me know?
not just now but cues come and go every day.

the cue craft would have been ideal, looking for cue that happy to take to pub to play in pool league - budget £50-60 expecting to be second hand. My main cue is a custom glover which i would not be happy to take down the pub and have some low life run off with

ADR, picked up an old cannon made in england 3/4 cue yesterday for reasonable bucks, it's the white circular badge one with short butt, think it dates from 80's. Seems a nice cue, needed varnish stripped and damn good clean oiled and retip, hopefully i'll be able to pot a ball with it.

appreciate the advice & hadn't thought of that before completely stripping last night - doh! think i've been lucky looks like a nice piece of ebony. It looks the same as the cue in the thread on here 'cannon, any value?' except has 11" butt instead of centre split. Haven't oiled it yet as cann't find my linseed oil but will buy some more today and hopefully it will come up nice.
I do have a related question for you - the cue came with an extension that also has cannon cue white badge and also is heavily varnished. I wasn't planning to do anything with this but the extension feels quite heavy> I would have thought an extension is unlikely to be constructed from ebony, any idea what wood likely to be?

unlikely to be ebony - usually painted ash.

will leave extension well alone then, rest of cue has come up well, played pool league last night with it and it's got a nice feel, fairly light, won both matches so looks like its a keeper. Thanks for your input so far.
