  • Supapro Balls, Aramith

Hi, are Aramith pool balls worth the difference in price for a local league?

Also again are Standard - Premiere - Pro cup within Aramith worth the difference?

I very much doubt your average pool league player could tell the difference between the standard aramiths at 35-ish quid and the pro cups at 99 quid-ish

you certainly wouldn't leave a set of pro cups in the table for joe lager to smash about 7 days a week and if most players couldn't tell the difference, you'd have to ask what's the point?

then again, if everyone in the team spends a tenner plus on kamui super tips and the like, maybe they can afford a set and would be happy to pay for them for the 'bling' and 'pro' effect

Yeah i agree, i would think the difference between supapro and aramith standard would be more apparent, would you think?

no, I honestly don't think most players would be able to tell the difference and if you put a new set of standard aramith premier quality pool balls in a superpro or procup box for league nights nobody would pick you up on it

I'm not sure about pool balls but you can definitely tell the difference at snooker. The balls are heavier and the contact feels more substantial, like hitting a feather shuttle-cock instead of a plastic one.
I often use large words I don't really understand in an attempt to appear more photosynthesis.

We use the the Aramith Pro Cup at county games now, they are 2 grams heavier and whatever way you look at it change the game a lot! The cue ball is also 2 grams heavier which is good in some instances but not in others, I find you get less deflection with the cue ball as it's a bit heavier.

They certainly make a difference the pro cup balls, we are one of the few teams round here that are using them for our league matches. It has got some talk going around about using them. At the moment a lot of us are trying to move the league forward with new ideas etc to make it better and a few who don't like change have put a complaint in with the league committee refusing to play at certain venues who use the pro cup balls. Which is abit sad in my eyes to complain about them.

You can get a set for £70 now I've seen on a few websites.

Wow people complain about all sorts of things in the local leagues!
I complain all the time that we are playing the ole EPA rules that are 16 years out of date!
Not sure what would happen if we used these balls for our matches but we will find out shortly as I have
just bought a set top use ha ha
