8 Ball Cue Recommendation

Hi all, as the title suggests I'm after a reccomendation for an English pool cue, up to around £100 to spend, not looking for anything fancy (clearly with that budget) just don't want something with a snooker player's name on the butt.

Looking on Fleabay i can get a Jonny 8 Ball or Geordie cue that is reputedly hand spliced, but I'd rather listen to someone who knows what they're talkign about than some sales hype.

For under £100 try CueCraft.
They have English pool cues between 7.75-9mm.

The Geordie cues are decent kit for the money, i know if it was me with that budget I'd go second hand but if you want new cuecraft wouldn't be a bad place to look!

Bought a one piece Geordie cue for someone. Was meant to be 8.5mm but was 9mm when it came. Guy took it anyway. Sometimes you don't always get what you ask for.

Thanks for the replies. Id happily go second hand and have been watching the bay but am struggling to source anything half decent with an 8 to 8.5 mil tip. All seems to be snooker spec. Any suggestions other than keep watching?

Does it have to be a 1 piece or can it be a 3/4 joint?

Hi mate,
I have an old 1 Piece Burwat Champion (pool spec) you can have if you want.

Its lying doing not much, and I know I wont get as much for it, as its pool spec.

Its about 8.1 - 8.2mm, really nice grain, dark arrows.

It owes me £120.

I have something which would suit.

One piece woods maple cue, i have tapered it to 8.5mm ferrule with phoneix soft tip fitted. all varnish has gone with a very very smooth oil finish.

I have a peradon comet 8 ball pool cue length his 57" weight 18-18.5oz and tip is 7.5mm £100 delivered also comes with a mini butt which u can screw into shaft for awkward shots in tight places
