I am actually a keen snooker player but unfortunately have never had the room for a full size table so have always had my eye on pool tables as I felt it was a more realistic dream. I am moving home later this year and getting a detached double garage which I plan to convert into a games room, mainly just to house pool table and darts board so have recently been looking at 7ft slate bed tables and after a fairly wide search I find myself drawn to the " Supreme Prince" table as I really like the look of it and have heard some good reviews on it. I believe it's the sister table to the " Supreme Winner " which I can see they use at most tournaments and world 8 ball championships but have heard the pockets are slightly tighter on this table? I was just wondering if anyone can comment on or had any experience playing on either of these tables and what your thoughts are? I am looking for a good quality slate bed table which i know both these tables are but also something I can play on with my mates after a few beers and although I feel I'd be ok with tighter pockets I'm sure my friends would quickly lose interest if they are rattling in the jaws all night if you know what I mean? lol Any comments or advice would be much appreciated, cheers !

Yes both of the supreme tables are top quality. Personally I prefer the winner tables. The pockets are a bit tighter on the prince

I have heard that the winner table has an advantage due to the leg design. The prince has turned straight legs, where the winner has legs that are sloped in towards the middle of the table, apparently this gives the table and slate better support and keeps it playing truer due to the legs supporting the middle of the table better, but that just something I read somewhere. Our local has just had 2 new winner tables fitted and they play really well, pockets are fine, not tight but not buckets either just right I would say.

I think I will prob go with the winner even though I do prefer the look of the prince table. Sounds like its a better table to play on and maybe plays more true due to the leg design as been said above. Many thanks for your comments and opinions !" and for those of you who are watching in black and white, the pink is next to the green. "

The winner is a much better table than the Prince IMO for play and contemporary looks. The only downside is the slightly raised metal trim around the table. If your shooting near or on the cushion it is often advisable to make and effective bridge and avoid slipping your cue on the trim which can result in miss cues

I'm thinking about a 7x4 table for my new house. When I move in. I really like the look and build quality of the Supreme Prince but concerned about what I've heard in regards to this table having large pockets and can't find one locally to try out.
Can anyone shed any light on this or know of a alternative. I've seen some wooden style hazel wood superleague tables but they don't look that well made, possibly the Winchester looks ok but haven't seen it in the flesh
Cheers
