this is the first laminate tip I have used and I find them very similar to the pressed tips I have used, a very nice tip all round I feel.
I went for the soft as I don't like "hard" feel to my tips and thought the ADR medium may be too hard for me. so far so good

I'm finding a lot of compaction with a Cuesoul black S on one cue and very little with a Kamui black S on another. When I say a lot, I mean even more than a Buffalo Diamond Plus. You get what you pay for I guess.

What's the ADR like in terms of spin, compared to other laminates?

I wasn't aware that Kamui made a S version for snooker, are you referring to the US pool tip? If you are, they play completely different to the specialist snooker variation in my experience. Personally I use a Kamui M/h on my snooker cues and am yet to find one better as I like the tip to be a grippy marble. Although I haven't tried ADRs hard version but do use his medium for pool and find that excellent for touch feel and spin.

i find the adr tip to be perfect, i first had the medium when he released them but im currently using the soft version, however i was playing pool more than snooker when i made the switch (due to eye problems and snooker was becoming very difficult and sometimes painful on long pots due to my vision being imparred and trying too hard to focus, so i played pool instead for a while)

now my eye is better im going back to snooker so will probably switch back to the medium but will see.

both produce as much spin as youll ever need, i can play soft screws with little effort, but it feels controlled, rarely overscrewing.
and i can play deep screws when needed.

I love the feel i get from it aswell.

It holds shape very well and iv never had any problems with them at all.

In my opinion it is definately the best tip iv used and i would never buy another brand now.

we have had this before on other threads, the non=pressed tips are made of layers and then laminated....
my view is that laminate (if you look at definition in OED) described as layers with an adhesive/cement to hold together, where the definition of layered does not mention any adhesive cement at all.

as long as people understand what they are buying and the properties of such, "poetarto - potaytoe" :wink:

In what way are they laminated? Ive only played with kamui and talisman in terms of snooker tips, but have played with, bought, owned, examined and fitted scores of layered american pool tips and not seen a single one that was heat sealed in plastic.

All have been varying layers of pig skin, glued together for consistency.
