  • Has anyone heard of Kentucky Pool?

My buddy Paul and I Sort of invented a game called Kentucky Pool. (Our website here.) We got turned on to the game when a buddy said we should play this game where you carom your ball off the cue ball...but he didn't know any of the rules. We searched the web for any info on Kentucky Pool but didn't find anything. Anyway, we continued to develop the gammon our own and eventually built a website thinking that we invented a game.

Soon, a couple of folks contacted us saying similar games do exist; Chinese 8-Ball is as close as we’ve found—though it can’t be played on a bar table—and this carom drill is quite similar. But we've yet to find anything called Kentucky Pool.

My question is: Have any of you heard of Kentucky Pool, and if so do you have a link. I'd love o know if there was an established game.

    Thanks!

You know I haven't heard of that game before but it sounds similar to 3 cushions. They do a lot of stuff differently in Kentucky in the pool world. Bank pool and 1 pocket are very popular over there and they have some of the best players of those two games as well.
