  • Never watched Straight Pool before?

This is the perfect video to start with and see what this great game is all about.

Two of the currently greatest players in the world, Thorsten Hohmann vs. John Schmidt at the 2007 Straight Pool World Championship. Some unusually big breaks in here as well as a couple of nervy misses as the players gets closer to the finishing line.

John Di Toro and the old master Grady "The Professor" Mathews team up for some great commentary, where you get to learn about the match, tactics, shot selection and lots of great stories from the past as well.

An excellent video for the Straight Pool-first timer as well as the serious player.

[Edit: new link working 100%, no login required, just download!]

Thanks Hege. Straight pool is the my main and best game (in a fashion anyway, using full size snooker reds on an English pool table), but I've never seen it played professionally. I'm downloading it now, and looking forward to watching it.
