Hi
I have a question: What exactly is Low English?
It is screw in snooker terminology, english is the american term for spin, becuase the english taught the americans spin (or so they say!) and low spin is becuase screw is got by hitting the cue ball low. So it really means low spin, or as snooker knows it, screw.
I hope this helps,
bongo
EDIT - Another word for screw is backspin or as some americans call it, 'draw'.
Thank you all for your help!
You really helped me!
Geez, Michael...you had to go all the way across the "pond" to ask a question ? I guess some of the places/forums in the USA can be quite brutal when similar questions are asked.
