......thanks 4 sharing Bongo, well thought out dvd, & nice playing style from Mika.

Had a look at some of the sample lessons 2, really liked the playing safeties 1 [volume 3] -lots of detail.

...& agree with Mellow, mayb Darren & Jason should do one...

I completely agree MY ... there is very little if anything about in terms of coaching for English 8-ball pool - if anyone knows of summat, please let me know!

thanks for the link Bongo but I've watched the intro and I don't think it's for me ... well unless I'm up against Sylvester Stallone in a trick-shots competition (Eye of the Tiger) ...

whilst it's about American 9-ball, this huge collection of vids by Dr Dave Aliatore are by far and away the best I've seen about pool - some are simplistic, some are 9-ball only but there's still some good stuff there for English 8-ball and even snooker players ... http://billiards.colostate.edu/index.html

but if anyone knows of other stuff - not just coaching but just vids of tournaments for English 8-ball, please do let me know - I'd love to see it - thanks

The best book i have got is called "on cue" (i think), it is quite a modern book and caters for new rules. starts with the basics and goes right up to advanced shots, but i find its very hard to learn from a book and much prefer to see it done.

Hense, i find the best method of learning is watching the world champs on dvd, i've lost count of how many times i've watched them. Countless break and clears and some very good tactical games.

also try youtube, i found some good matches from the riverside pool tournys. also some of the australian matches.
