  • foam lining for cue case

i am trying to find a source for "shaped" foam to replace mine that has rotted away due to being left in a damp basement.the case is made from solid hard wood with brass fittings[bought thru an ad in pot black mag long before on line buying!] and is in top condition and would be great if i could restore it to its former glory.i can get the foam cut to size on line no problem but they cannot supply it with a cue shape cut out.i have tried to cut the foam myself but however i try i end up with an absolute mess.any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks

I can't help with that problem as I'd probably make a bigger mess of it than you! I have 2alternatives: buy a cheap case and remove the foam et voilĂ ! or take the case to a cue/case-maker and ask them to line it with suede for you, hence restoring it to perhaps better than it's former glory!

Are you near any cue/case-makers, by the way?
Il n'y a pas de problemes; il n'y a que des solutions qu'on n'a pas encore trouvées.
