For me, it has to be Home Alone. As far as sequels go, Home Alone 2, Lost in New York, was good as well.

Picking a fave Christmas movie is always a struggle! I'm kinda old school, so I always lean towards Home Alone—you know, the original with Kevin's crazy traps and the second one with him in NYC? So good! But since I don't see it listed here, I gotta go with Love Actually. That movie has it all: romance, drama, comedy. Plus, that airport scene at the end? Total tearjerker. 😭
But honestly, sometimes I get bored watching the same movies over and over, so I like to check out what's in theaters now or around Christmas. There's always something new and festive. And hey, it's a great excuse to get out and grab some popcorn

One of the Christmas Carol films for me, either the Alastair Sim or Patrick Stewart version, I love Richard E Grant's Bob Cratchit, incredible to think he's the same guy who played Withnail.

The George C Scott version is definitive from 1984

I have seen the other versions, as good as both Sim and Stewart are, and Grant is a good Cratchit, Scott's Scrooge is the most powerful,
dramatic, and sympathetic, performance I have ever seen, the great David Warner's Cratchit is equally as good, his facial expression when
Scrooge confronts him at the end after seeing the error of his ways is a great piece of purely facial acting, conveys a _lot_ with the look he pulls,
and you are genuinely happy and relieved for Scrooge that he has repented and changed. The use of Shrewsbury in Shropshire as
old London town is an excellent choice. There are one or two slight production value issues for me where the use of fake snow is
reasonably obvious but that aside it's brilliant. I can't recommend this version enough, it is on both terrestrial tv and streamed every year
year, well worth watching.
