  • help from ebay sellers

Hi, I'm sure theres quite a few members on here that use ebay to sell various items.

Can anyone help with the following exasperating problem.

It's not letting me input any postage rate above £0.00

whatever combination of postage options i select it tells me costs cannot be above 0.00

"Please provide the correct information in the highlighted fields.
Postage cost - P&P cost in this category can't be more than £0.00. "

Im probably doing something silly, but can someone please advise how to input a postage charge ?

      Andrew...
How can you be so cold... you didn't mean a comma after "something" I hope.

Is it a DVD you're selling?

I had this happen recently, eBay were offering a reduction of the final value fee if you offered free postage on DVDs, so I just assumed it was related to that.

In any case, you can always just incorporate the price of postage into the start price.

thanks for the replies, even Noel for his smart arse clever dick one

i got a reply from ebay quicker than expected - As you thought Nugget it is a DVD, and it seems they are now enforcing sellers to offer free p&p on dvd listings to be competitive with other online mediums. Whatever happened to free choice.

Its a counter measure to stop sellers putting higher postage cost instead of item price itself so the final value fees are lower.

                  no it isn't!!

ebay have a monopoly and are abusing it, the end fees are now 9.9% when i started they were about 2% and do you get anything extra for that money? nope! on top of that they own paypal which 95% of all payments go through and they have tried hard to make it 100% and there is another 4% for that service! basically they are behaving like criminals and now if you sell something for £300 it costs you £50-£60 in fees which is crazy!
