I would not say no to any of them but I think you have to specify it a bit more. For chocolate bars I prefer the belgian cote d'or before the milka brand. And if you are talking about bonbons or pralines, Leonidas (Belgium) are the best in the world.

    Belgium number 1, definite!

Pity you did not bring them in as a Valentine's present! hahaha! You would have been on a roll tonight and making a few tries in extra time!

to non rugby fans, Wales beat england and a try in rugby is like scoring a goal in footie

          Belgium, of course.

I'm still dreaming of the chockies Monique brought along to the Exhibition in Hamm (November last year).
When "heaven is a place on earth", it must the place where you sit down to have some Belgium chockies.

                Sure! Because Milka is German...

Problem with Swiss chocolate is that you can't get the real good stuff anywhere abroad.

There's just too few produced to really export.

                cheers

You are wrong. Milka originates from Neuchatel in Switzerland made by the chocolatier Philippe Suchard. Milka has been taken over by Kraft Foods but still holds the original swiss recipe.

I was in Switzerland last summer and liked the chocolates but I prefer the Belgium ones. Matter of taste. I will be in Switzerland again this summer so will have another go.

                      I will, thanks!

your country is wonderful, not only the Alps, but Fendant, Johannisberg, Petit Arvine are wonderful wines. Still got a couple left from last time. Those are definite not available here.

ps. Ther are some pics of Gornergrat in the gallery here.

Swiss when it comes to standard super market chocolate (apart from Milka, which I find horrible). I get people to bring me chocolate from different countries, Swiss definitely comes first... even the cheap Frey stuff at Migros etc. is good....Last place btw. is shared by Russia and Slovakia, couldn't eat it
For hand-made chocolate (bars and other things), it really depends on the store, not the country... Best I ever had was from Basel, but I haven't tried a lot of places outside Switzerland.

As a proper chocoholic who accidentally happens to be from Slovakia (), I have to ask you whether you still remember the brand you tried.

You are of course entitled to your opinion, but I cannot for the life of me comprehend how we managed to score worse than Poland.
Unless you have yet to try Polish chocolate.
All fans from Poland will have to excuse me, but when I am about to buy an unknown chocolate bar I always check whether it is not made in Poland.

Never had it, I have to find some Polish people here and tell them to bring chocolate... Country distribution depends on on friends and colleagues and my holiday destinations and is therefore a bit random (and not to be taken too serious )
I actually got quite a few bars (probably different brands) from Slovakia, since a family member went there and I have to admit there were only slight differences...but I also got some candy stuff that was quite good, just to save the country's reputation

I always check whether chocolate was actually made in that country, to get a bit of proper research in, otherwise results might be distorted
