Back on topic, my biggest regret if we're talking gigs is missing Nirvana. I was a student in Bristol at the time just before Nirvana became massive and they were playing at the local Bierkeller to a couple of hundred people. They would have been promoting their new album "Nevermind" at that time. Not having heard of them at the time I didnt go.

Would have been a stunning gig im sure.

          different theme.

my biggest regret was at the age of 15 i was easily the best cricketer in my school i used to be a seam bowler, my pe teacher really thought i had something and got me a change to play and train with an under 18's team in manchester that i have since learned have had jimmy anderson turn out for them, unfortunately it was on a sunday morning and at this time in my life i had just began drinking in parks on a saturday night and getting off with girls. being the ridiculously niave and downright stupid child that i was i prioritised it all wrong and gave the cricket a miss.

i left school almost 10 years ago and haven't bowled a ball in anger since.

its the not knowing that kills you....

My biggest regret probably involves the fairer sex. But that aside, like steedee above i regret not taking something I was good at further, in my case Athletics, specifically long jump and 100/200m.

Luckily I saw Jeff play and met him at a friend's club, C'est What here in Toronto.
                I think it was '94.
There were only about 30 people there too, Andrew.

Sadly, in a similar genre, I never had the chance to see Nick Drake, John Martyn yes ... in a club with 20 people, but not Drake.

My biggest musical regret was having to work a series of gigs on the weekend all my non-working musician mates went to Woodstock.

ah we all have a few of those! - i once turned down a well known 'it' girl in cambridge in favour of beers with the boys in the blue boar.

About 7 or 8 years ago British Energy shares slumped to 1/4 penny amid rumours that the company was about to collapse. I know nothing about share dealing but considering that British Energy runs the UK's nuclear power stations, I was pretty certain that it wasn't going to be allowed to go bust. I wanted to have a punt at £1000 but didn't know how to go about it. Within days the government had rescued it and it was trading at 16p... That would have been £64000 profit.
I've just checked now and it seems to be at 772.5p I'm not even going to work that one out.

You sure? That means £1000 worth of shares would now be worth £3090000... You'd be a millionaire!! Now that really is a regret!!
