Anyone using Blu-Ray writers?

Hi everyone,

This is pretty much snooker related (you can guess how!).

Is anyone using a blu-ray writer for backing up files? It's getting to the stage where writing to DVDs is a bit of a pain. So, has anyone found a blu-ray writer for around £100 - would have to be IDE as well? Any advice on discs to go for also appreciated.

I might be wrong but I do not think you can get an IDE Blu Ray writer. It would be incredibly slow writing. As far as I am aware after having a quick look they are all SATA.

They are slow. 1x
They are ridiculously expensive ... here $500.
The media is astronomically priced at about $35. a disc
