Below is my real tank, this thing is like a Rocket. 6.5 Duramax Deisel with an Allison Transmission. Also equipped with a Super Chip. Puts out about 400 hp. At 140 km I have loads of peddle left. You should see it push snow, the Deisel just screams...

    • Nice ride Les, but at 400 hp i should think you do have plenty of peddle left at only 86mph lol
For 400 hp i would be expecting 180 mph min !!!!

Is that ok on the slippy stuff Les, the old Toyota Hilux were pretty much the same look as this but with no weight on the back end the four wheel drive wasn't much help, they were very average off road to say the least.

With the big diesel and new 285 tires and usually a few bags of safety salt in the back it walks through just about anything.

            • looks a giggle but I suspect the audi is more comfortable! I had a go in a V8 powered Hi-Lux once it was mental!

It is loads of fun but if you are looking for a nice smooth comfortable ride then my truck is out of the question....when I am heading to a Snooker match with my good clothes on you don't take a chance with a coffee you are sure to ware it as it bounces you all over the seat..

i completely agree with this, diesels have come along way i have owned a 2002 plate m3 e46 a few year back and when it comes to pace and a all round car the torque on my 335d outweigh the m3 by miles
i never thought i would buy a diesel but these days they are the way forward in my eyes

Have owned the same car - loved it with it's free revving straight 6 but in the real world a new 335d will be better in every way. - god I can not believe I am now backing oil burning cars!

My truck cost about a $150 CDN to fill and if I am highway driving I get about 900 km out a tank.
