TBH ive only heard about 3 of those albums. Some of the bands and albums ive not even heard of atall. At 38 years old it gets hard to keeep up with everything !! Realising this, Im getting into the habit of buying Q magazine at the end of every year, to see their lists of the years best albums, and then i can make sure i catch up on anything good i might have missed at that point.

I really like Kasabian and their new album - (you may be interested to know (if you didnt already know - )) their guitarist Serge is a snooker fan as well BTW - the cameraman/ commentators picked him out in the audience at The Masters final the last 2 years running. I also like the doves album a lot, many of the songs are as good as Winter Hill & Kingdom of Rust, just not as immediately catchy.

Ive also heard the Artic monkeys album, but not so keen on that really. I want to get the Florence and the machine album as they are beginning to grow on me now. Also Handsome Furs and Isis have small venue gigs (which i love) coming up in manchester, so i will check their albums out to see if i like them and then go along to the gigs.

    Thanks for the tips !

Thats why you cant keep up with everything haha, (joke).

The best way to get new music or whatever, is just look at sputnikmusic.com - they have a calendar of whats coming out for every genre, so its helpful as to what you can expect every month.

      PS. -

Every one should get the XX's debut album. Honestly the best british debut since the Arctic Monkeys. Simple but beautiful! Came out a while ago tho but its gonna be timeless.

Would you recommend the Arctic Monkeys-album? Everytime I'm at the local musicstore I see it and think about buying it, but so far I couldnt decide.

Kings of Convenience - Declaration of Dependence
is my favourite (international) album 2009 so far.

It depends if you like them or not. If you like the single "crying lightening" you may like the album. The critics have 'received it warmly'....

I went to see Kasabian last night, they're still one of the best live bands around at the minute imo, brilliant gig.
