I think Gonzalez will send Murray home today and even progress to the final. He had a pretty easy draw so far but he was quite impressive as he won all matches in 3 sets without any tie-breaker.

I've been a Federer fan for years and especially now that he's starting to struggle on the brink of equalling Sampras - I'd love to see him tie that record and complete the career slam with a win this week. Nothing against Andy, but he's still got time on his side.

It's amazing, everything I said came true. I tipped Dominika against Maria - she won. I said Dina will beat Vika - she did. I said Rafa will be out quickly - he is. I said Venus wont be in Paris for a long time - and before you know it, she was out.

I hope the other predictions I made will be true, Mr. Roger for the title and Murray out in the quarters. And it is going as expected.

As i thought...Gonzalez sent Murray home and will play Soderling in the first semi. Gonzalez forehand is one of the best in the ATP tour and he defeated Murray quite easily.

Soo, Rog vs. Monfils. It will be hard but I think Rogs can pull it off. Robredo vs. Del Potro.. Maaan, I hope it's Tommy.

Shame to see Murray go out but he was well beaten. What a forehand Gonzalez has! If he keeps that level of performance up, he will be there or there abouts. Monfils Federer should be a good match today especially with the crowd behind the Frenchman.

If anyone hasn't seen this yet, it is a stunning point from Monfils:

Interesting piece of trivia: only Spanish and Portuguese speaking players have won the event in the last 10 years. In fact, they've won 13 of the last 16 tournaments. That would suggest it's between Gonzalez and Del Potro.

I have already voted/betted for Roger Federer (my all time favorite) before the French started. He is the second best clay icon after Rafa and certainly more so after Rafa's shocking fall. I believe Del Potro will give him a hard time in the semi's but sincerely believe Roger will pull through and win the ultimate French he is longing for, as exhilarating and interesting as it stands. I also predict that Roger WILL defeat Pete Sampras's record THIS YEAR.

Söderling all the way! He's been outstanding last two matches.

Anyone knows the schedule for friday's semis? I can't find it even on the official homepage!

Söderling played AWESOME!... almost brought tears to my... ummm... Rafa's eyes.

But, I predict Federer will seize the Once In A Lifetime (thanks to Söderling) chance!

No question that Soderling has played exceptionally well, especially beating Nada and Devidenko but will go down against Federer; an all time all court player with 13 Grand Slams already in his belt and hungry for French with "fries". Soderling will be 'french fried'.
