This thread was the last step to quit smoking.
I still do not smoke and it feels really great not to have that need with all the hazzle anymore. And I really feel better after 27 years and 20 pcs per day.
The only thing to work on now is my weight. Unfortunately snooker does not help too much in this.
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

have you gained weight after quitting, or do you mean it in a general way (having too much before already)?

Now we swapped the risk of lung cancer with the risk of coronary...

Unfortunately snooker is not the right sport to reduce weight...
Well, maybe with a heavier cue...

                            From one death to another

cigarette normally gives me a dizzy head, no matter it be the 'light' or 'cool' versions. But pipe smoking makes me feel good, fresh and lively. Can't quit pipe smoking even after tries and tries. My normal club does not allow smoking while playing, or within the table areas
                            It's in the Shaft

bad thing about quitting to smoke:

                                - eating can be a replacement,...

                                - you will / can be more hungry, as a smoke may repress appetite

                                good thing:

gaining (a little) weight is better than go on with smoking.

have you tried to combine running and snooker? after potting an easy red, making position on to the black, always walk around the baulk end of the table, instead of taking the shorter route
