They are not showing the ceremony here, ffs!

Congrats to Roger, although I feel for Andy.
Robbo's potting is so good he doesn't need to bother with positional play like the rest of the players. He laughs in the face of those who spend hours on the practice table perfecting their cue ball control! ~ Forman

Can you imagine the mental and physical fatigue of the players after this marathon?

Like mushka said you gotta feel for Andy but it's nice to see it's not only Rafa who can challenge Mr. Federer.

Poor Andy (I had to go out so I didn't see all of it - that's why my reply's a bit late!)

I'm so upset for him and he probably won't get another chance...

He did really well though (as did Rog) so I'm pleased it was as close as it was.

It was the longest 5th set ever at Wimbledon. The match was tie-breaker after tie-breaker and for Roddick ultimately an utter heart-breaker. He may, as very.tee mentioned, never get another chance... but to his credit, he didn't cry like a little girl.
Federer had to play one of the toughest matches of his career for a historic 15th Grand Slam and congratulations to him for that! But for me, having to step so far up to beat Murray at home and then up it a huge amount more to take the greatest player of all time to the wall in Federer's most important tournament... the real winner in my eyes... Andy Roddick.

What an unbelievable match. Just a masterclass of serving from both guys.

I normally find Roddick very arrogant on the court but he was a real pro today. Stuck to his gameplan and was actually outplaying Fed, imo. It's too bad his legs gave out like that at the end but I was pulling for Federer anyway.

The mens game is really tightening up it seems.

You've got no idea how happy I was when Roger finally won!!!
I stayed at my tennis club 2 hours after the training and I was watching with my coach who thought, actually said that the way Roger was playing not only he doesn't deserve to win, but was like he doesn't want to!

I have a new badge now. And a new visor. That goes with my T - shirt.
An "I <3 Roger" badge, a white visor with a swiss flag and with the RF sign on it ... and of course, a T - shirt with Roger on it!!
              .I'm back!:].

                  Anyone watching the US Open?

Kim winning on her come back was quite special.

And seems like Roger could cruise in yet another final... can't see Del Potro being too much of a challenge.

                    João... Yes.
It is quite the US Open ... The "Storied Tournament of 2009".

Kim's comeback BRAVO! was The Story until...

Little Ms. Oudin and Wozniacki [ and other lovely seedless ones ] almost stole the limelight until...

Diva Serena lost it on a tiny little linejudge who (mis)called a foot foul on the point before match point to Kim. "If I could, I would take this fcuking ball and shove it down your fcuking throat and kill you!” she screamed like a banshee.
She will now have to choke down a $10,000. ball herself (fine).

But... whoever is able to make a winner in a full run towards the baseline, hitting the ball facing backwards between their legs on next to match point...can have the Men's trophy IMHO!
                    That would be Federer.

It has to be said that with Kim Clijsters and - even more - Justine Henin announcing her come back we will finally see some good tennis again, instead of that power tennis of the William brothers.
I saw that going differently in my mind
