Honestly, Ronnie's ranting about his toy was quite innocuous as compared to this. Or maybe it's just me - being born 1954, turning 15 in 1969 - I'm kinda hippie girl - yanno ... "make love not war" and all

PS n°1: BTW, in August in wil be the 40th anniversary of the woodstock Festival ...
PS n°2: Bernie on another occasion also declared that women should be dressed in white all time like "most household appliances" ... no doubt he's a lovely man!

Bernie is a Queen.

People like Bernie Eccelstone are special. They are not like us.
They would be deeply dissatisfied to struggle and be able to buy a comfortably modest house,
raise a family, send kids to suitable schools, have a liveable pension, maybe take a holiday now and then and the extra lucky ones might get to buy a Trevor White cue. Plus extensions.
That's because creatures like Bernie seem only happy to serve a singular purpose, namely, make money.
To that end, they surround themselves by worker bees and drones to cater to their every need, including providing them only the information necessary to the enterprise. I did consulting work for a very wealthy art collector for a number of years... I remember the first morning coming in to to join him at home in his breakfast room to meet and talk and have some royal jelly on toast. I asked why there were no morning newspapers on his front porch... he replied that he didn't waste his time reading because people would invariably tell him what he needed to know... and to punctuate that point he took 3 or 4 phone calls while we chatted each one ending with an ever-wider "my pork-belly ship has come in" grin.
Back to Bernie.
Whatever you might think of him, however retarded his opinions might be, Bernie is not stupid. He's dumb. Plain old dumb. He doesn't hear anything to distract his singular role to create an ever larger, world-dominating sports entertainment hive... in other words, breed fans.
Fans make him honey. LOTS OF HONEY.

Bernie is a good Queen Bee.

Forget that vaudevillian darts guy, imagine what she could do for snooker!
